When I met Samantha and Hunter at their engagement session last February, they hadn’t yet selected a venue. But they did keep mentioning The Venue at Waddell Place and how beautiful it was, thinking of possibly tying the knot there. Well, fast forward a few months and I was driving up to the property of Waddell Place and thinking they were so right! They chose one of the most beautiful and tranquil places to get married and I was so very excited to photograph it!

Here are some of my favorite images from Samantha and Hunter’s wedding day. Enjoy!

Samantha chose the prettiest details to adorn her on her wedding day. From her Betsey Johnson shoes (my FAVE) to the Kendra Scott earrings, these details were so fun to style!

This group kept Josh and me laughing ALL day with the biggest smiles!

Samantha and Hunter gave each other the sweetest gifts. They both had written to one another and put so much thought into what they gave.

Sam’s first look with her dad couldn’t have been any sweeter. They shared a private moment together before she went to meet her groom!

Their wedding may have been in late September, but don’t be fooled– it was a HOT day! Luckily, we found a large shade tree that made the perfect spot for Sam and Hunter’s first look!

Hunter couldn’t stop smiling at his beautiful bride!

I can’t get over the melty-sunshine (is that a thing?!) we had for their romantic portraits! It made them feel so magical.

Also… have you ever SEEN a more GORGEOUS bride?! Sam’s dress from Rina’s Bridal must have been made especially for her!

Meanwhile, Hunter’s navy tux was incredibly suave and complimented the fall color palette perfectly.

I always love my time with the bridesmaids. These ladies were no exception!

We never know just how the groomsmen are going to respond to being photographed. This group of guys were so fun and laughed the WHOLE time!

Like I said… they kept us laughing the entire day!

Samantha and Hunter’s wedding ceremony was extra exciting, because they were the first couple to ever get married in the new open-air chapel. This is the newest addition to The Venue at Waddell Farms and the perfect ceremony space. It has the feel of an outdoor wedding with the shelter of a roof and two walls!

I loved the simplicity of how Samantha and Hunter chose to decorate the ceremony space. All of the focus was on the two of them.

After the ceremony, we took family portraits just outside the chapel and just in time for some gorgeous golden light.

And of course we had to steal a few “just married” portraits before heading to the reception! Look at those smiles!

Hunter and Sam shared their first dance as husband and wife just before the sun set over the water, surrounded by their friends and family.

Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Smith! Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your special day. Love you both!
