If you are seeking inspiration for planning the perfect wedding that combines rustic elegance and romance with southern luxury, then you have come to the right place.
When I try to dream up the most picturesque location for a rustic, romantic wedding in the rolling hills of Tennessee, Bloomsbury Farm immediately comes to mind. Nestled on the outskirts of Nashville in the town of Smyrna, Bloomsbury Farm is a must-see if you are looking for the ideal place to celebrate southern elegance.
In July, I had my first experience shooting under the creative direction and design of Janna Brown and it was a literal dream come true. She did an amazing job of bringing her vision of a beautifully untamed wedding day to life. Every aspect of the day was incredible, right down to the last and tiniest detail. I have to admit that after such a quiet season of waiting and wanting to be creative, this day was so very good for my soul! Getting out and shooting film again for the sole purpose of creating and honing my craft was something I needed more than I knew.
Our bride wore an ethereal gown by Alon Livne White that trailed softly behind her as she walked through the hillside to meet her groom. The flowers and and paper goods were inspired by the earth and the wild beauty of the Tennessee countryside.
Our table design embraced the tradition of southern hospitality and grace with its overflowing assortment of breads, cheeses and settings fit for a luxurious and hearty celebration. (Who knew that being an adult would mean daydreaming about tablescapes – I am STILL swooning over this one!)
Seeing our bride and groom against a backdrop of the golden hills and green trees made my heart so incredibly happy. I have always thought Tennessee is one of the most beautiful places on earth, and this all just validated it even more.
And lastly, the ceremony space Jana created took the idea of an intimate destination wedding to a whole new level of romantic. It felt as though we had been transported to a magical place in the Spanish mountains, or the English countryside.
I had such an amazing time photographing this editorial and am so glad to see it featured on The White Wren, as well!
