Carly and Zach were married on the most beautiful Spring day in March, at one of what I consider to be the most beautiful places in West Tennessee. Everything was hand-selected to tell a part of their story, from the handkerchief Zach’s grandmother made for Carly, to the custom cuff links holding a photo of the two of them that the bride gave to her father. And from the sunshine to the light breeze, we couldn’t have asked for a better day to celebrate this sweet couple’s love story!

Carly and Zach chose the University of Memphis at Lambuth as their venue. Carly attended school here, and we shot their engagement session here. And many, many years ago, her mom and dad took their engagement pictures here, too. Lambuth is a special place for Carly and Zach (and we all know by now how special it is to me) and the love felt there on their wedding day was tangible!

Carly was so excited to meet her groom, and they chose to wait until the ceremony to see each other for the first time. But before the ceremony began, Carly shared a First Look with her father and we all had tears in our eyes! Then, we shared lots of laughs as the bridesmaids and groomsmen had their portraits taken on the quad. The beautiful lavender and gray palette Carly chose for her wedding colors looked SO GOOD combined with the historic buildings and trees. I think this was the first time I’ve had the pleasure to photograph a wedding where purple was the primary color, and I LOVED it. Everything about it just exuded spring!

After a very sweet ceremony (and a few more tears), we wrapped up family portraits and sunset portraits before heading to celebrate at the reception across town. The bridal party was waiting to send off the new bride and groom with Carly’s grandfather’s vintage Buick – a real stunner of a classic car. This really made my car-loving heart happy! (If you didn’t catch Carly and Zach’s engagement session where we got to use another one of her grandfather’s classic cars, check it out here and take a moment to swoon over his antique Ford truck!)

Carly and Zach, it was such an honor to capture your special day and be there when the two of you began your journey as husband and wife! I love you both and am excited to see where your love story takes you next! Here are a few of my favorite images from Carly and Zach’s beautiful spring wedding.
