I met Jeanie the same summer that I met my husband, Josh, at Lakeshore Camp & Retreat Center in Eva, Tennessee. Jeanie also met her husband, Andrew, at Lakeshore, and both of our weddings took place at camp. So it only made sense that when Jeanie and Andrew were picking the location for their maternity session that Lakeshore was the perfect choice!

We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect Spring day. After weeks of rain, the sun was shining, bees were buzzing, flowers were blooming and everything at camp was looking green and full of life. Jeanie was glowing as she and Andrew told me about their new home, and plans for when their first little girl, Olive Lynn, arrives.

I had so much fun walking around Lakeshore with my friends and making plans for the summer, when we all return as volunteers. We ended the session at Pilot Knob, which is the highest point in West Tennessee and overlooks the Tennessee River. Our time together was full of laughter and discussion of the new Avengers movie!

Olive Lynn Barton, or “Ollie” as her sweet mama is calling her, was born on April 21, 2018, about a week after Jeanie’s maternity session. She made her grand entrance a little early, as expected, but is a perfect bundle of joy and I can’t wait to meet her and help show her around the special place where we all met! Jeanie and Andrew, I love you guys and am so glad I got to share in this milestone with you. I am excited to watch you guys grow as a family and know Ollie is so blessed to have you as her parents.
